About

ZLR Stavis
Z.L.R. Stavis is a modern renaissance woman. Originally strongly interested in journalism, publishing, history, and philosophy, she blogs about those topics as well as on tech and the counter-culture. Her original work is on the simulacrum and the singularity.

A distinguished graduate of Columbia University, she developed a ground-breaking new history of Rome using the simulacrum as a model. Since then, she has updated the concept with the concept of the Singularity, giving us a new vision for the future.

Originally hailing from the hills of Berkeley where she was the editor of her award-winning high school newspaper, The Berkeley High Jacket, presided over by the controversial Rick Ayers, she went on to study journalism at Columbia University in New York City, where she wrote for the Columbia Daily Spectator. There she studied under Richard Billows and Jason Mohaghegh.

She is also President and co-founder of thinkingSage, a digital communications agency dedicated to edifying conscious businesses, non-profits, and personal endeavors.
